Unwelcome visitor

Our first unwelcome guest - New Zealand Fairy weed (Azolla filiculoides). Presumably it was carried to the pond by a bird or some of the plants we bought were contaminated :-( It foms dense floating mats cutting out light and also out-competes native plants - not good.
